Inflight Oxygen
Passengers requiring inflight oxygen equipment may be accepted for carriage, and will be provided with oxygen bottles by Philippine Airlines upon their request.

Requirements:

  • Oxygen bottles are to be provided by Philippine Airlines.  Passengers will not be allowed to expend oxygen on board using their own oxygen bottles for safety reasons and in compliance with pertinent regulations.  However, for the purpose of availing oneself of oxygen immediately prior to embarkation and after disembarkation (Please refer to Medication and Medical Oxygen page for the details), the carriage of an oxygen bottle/cylinder under five (05) kilograms may be allowed provided this is packed properly and is strictly not to be used on board.
  • Requests must be made at least 72 hours before the intended date of departure, to ensure availability of oxygen bottles.
  • Submit a Medical Information Form (MEDIF) completed by Attending Physician at least 5-7 days prior to projected date of departure to Reservations Office or any PAL Ticket Office for Travel Clearance.

The following are the fare conditions for inflight oxygen service: 

For International flights

  • The Oxygen fare shall be one hundred fifty percent (150%) of the full normal one way fare. This includes passenger's seat in addition to the seat beside him/her where the two oxygen tanks will be installed.
  • The Oxygen Tank Charge shall be USD250.
  • The passenger then requiring oxygen will pay Oxygen fare and Oxygen tank charge.


For Domestic flights

  • The Oxygen fare shall be one hundred fifty percent (150%) of the full normal one way fare.
  • This includes passenger's seat in addition to the seat beside him/her where one oxygen tank will be installed.
  • The Oxygen Tank Charge shall be USD250.
  • The passenger then requiring oxygen will pay the Oxygen fare and Oxygen tank charge.


Additional Oxygen Tanks

USD250 shall be charged for each additional oxygen tank plus 100% of the full normal one way fare if additional seat is required to accommodate the tank.
  

Companion

For the required companion, a separate fare shall be charged, and this shall be the fare applicable to his/her journey.
