Before checking-in, passengers shall undergo a pre-screening and baggage check. Passengers must be ready to present their travel documents such as ticket or mobile boarding pass, passport, and visa. To facilitate a smoother check-in experience, passengers are requested to keep their locks open and to remove their baggage covers before approaching the baggage screening area. Checked baggage must only be temporarily sealed or unwrapped as these will be opened for inspection of prohibited items. Upon completion of inspection, the contents will be returned inside the bags and a designated person will assist the passengers to their assigned check-in counter.
Powder-like substances over 12 oz (35mL) are prohibited inside carry-on bags. Powder-like substances of any quantity may be placed inside checked-in baggage.
The following items are allowed:
- Medically prescribed powder-like substances
- Baby-formula
- Cremains (cremated human remains)
- Duty-free powder containers inside a properly sealed Secure Tamper Evident Bag (STEB)
All LAGs must be placed inside one (1) transparent and resealable bag, with a maximum total capacity of 1 liter (L) per person. Baby-formula, food, and medication carried on-board need not be in your LAGs bag, but must be presented to Security. Passengers may be asked to produce a prescription for their carry-on medication. LAGs purchased from Duty-free stores must remain sealed until the passenger’s final point of arrival.
All prohibited items will be confiscated by Security.
Passengers must undergo the redundancy security screening every time they wish to exit the cordoned-off area.
Passengers are also reminded that wearing of face masks is required per federal law. Face masks are to be worn at all times throughout the flight, including during boarding, and deplaning. Refusing to wear a mask is a violation of the federal law and may result in denial of boarding, removal from the aircraft, and/or penalties under the federal law.
