Manila flights recovering as Tropical Storm Paeng ("Nalgae") exits PH
We are mobilizing to resume full operations at Manila airport, our main hub, as Typhoon PAENG (international name “NALGAE”) exits the land area of the Philippines and weather conditions improve slowly.
Flights to and from Manila will operate today, October 30 (Sunday), except for those previously cancelled (see listing of cancelled flights below).
IMPORTANT REMINDER: However, some flights may need to be delayed or adjusted. It will take some time to restore normal schedules even after the typhoon recedes and weather improves.
We need to reposition aircraft that were held back or diverted to other airports, and adjust schedules based on revised slots and clearances at affected airports in coordination with aviation authorities. It is also a challenge to maintain staffing levels at airports and support offices, as well as for aircraft crew, because of problems with flooding and storm damage that affected many of our personnel, along with many other Filipino citizens in Metro Manila and key Philippine cities.
PAL will keep a close watch on the weather situation at Metro Manila and other parts of the Philippines, as heavy rainfall may continue to affect certain areas. A number of cities in the Visayas and Mindanao were badly affected by flooding and heavy rains, even if they were not in the direct path of the storm itself.
Our main concern is safety, and we may need to cancel or adjust flights if required for safety reasons related to weather conditions.

- Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year (1) from date of issuance.
- Rebook or Reroute your ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.
- Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge
