PAENG ADVISORY NO.  5

(30 October 2022 as of 10:30 AM)

MANILA AIRPORT REOPENS; OPERATIONS TO RESTART

The aviation authorities have reopened Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for airline operations from 10 PM of October 29 (local Philippine time).

As a result, we will be able to operate flights departing Manila for the U.S., Australia and Canada, although with some delays as we finalize operational requirements:

PR 104 Manila-San Francisco – Departing at 01:00 AM, October 30

PR 209 Manila-Melbourne – Departing at 01:00 AM, October 30

PR 221 Manila-Brisbane – Departing at 01:00 AM, October 30

PR 211 Manila-Sydney – Departing at 02:00 AM, October 30

PR 116 Manila-Vancouver – Departing at 03:00 AM, October 30

We will exert all efforts to get back flights that had been diverted to Cebu, Clark, Kalibo, Davao, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa for the final leg to Manila, and are working out the final arrangements with the authorities and our operations teams.

At all times, our paramount concern is the safety of our passengers, personnel and aircraft.

The Manila airport had been closed for several hours to ensure safety of all travelers and personnel at the height of Tropical Storm Paeng (“Nalgae”).
