CEBU AIRPORT RESUMES PARTIAL OPERATIONS FOR OCTOBER 25

ADVISORY (updated as of October 26, 11:30 AM)

Domestic flights to and from Cebu will be allowed to operate on a limited basis on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, as the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) resumes partial operations tomorrow.

Accordingly, for October 25, we plan to operate our standard schedule of PAL domestic flights during the permitted daylight hours on all our routes between Cebu and other airports in the Philippines, subject to favorable weather conditions.

However, there may be a need to cancel certain flights in view of the operational limitations and slot constraints. If you are traveling to or from Cebu, we strongly encourage you to check the status of your particular flight before proceeding to the airport. Kindly check //www.shunpa.com/en/flight-status.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: A flight’s status is updated in real-time, and there is no need to call the PAL contact center to verify the information. We encourage you to continue monitoring the status of your flight using the Flight Status self-service tool on our website so that we can keep our contact center hotlines free of congestion.

You may also check our public advisories for any flight cancellation announcements.

Clearing operations are in progress to remove the runway obstruction (a disabled aircraft of another airline) that is preventing a full resumption of normal operations so far. We will coordinate closely with the airport and aviation authorities so that we can adjust our flight operations as needed. We are monitoring the possibility of operating flights after sunset on October 25, and we will inform you of any updates in this regard.
