PAL offers first in-flight halo-halo for its North America routes

Philippine Airlines (PAL) continues to deliver exceptional in-flight experiences with the introduction of the halo-halo, an iconic and renowned Filipino dessert, for its Business Class passengers flying to the US mainland and Canada. This makes PAL the first airline to offer halo-halo in-flight.

First offered only on flights from Manila to San Francisco last September 2023, the dessert became a mainstay for PAL passengers flying Business Class to North America starting December 2023, providing a unique and delectable in-flight experience.

With PAL’s halo-halo, certain ingredients are already prepared inside the glass, and the sweet treat is finished off in the skies.

PAL’s halo-halo includes classic ingredients, but made with a few special tweaks. Certain ingredients are already prepared inside the glass, and the sweet treat is finished off in the skies. Sinkers include banana, langka, gulaman, beans, and coconut; the ube halaya, leche flan, vanilla ice cream, pinipig, and shaved milk are added by the cabin crew during in-flight service. Upon serving, PAL's Business Class passengers can simply combine everything to create a sweet, fresh, and delicious mix.

With its halo-halo offering, PAL reiterates its commitment to strengthening Filipino representation by bringing Filipino cuisine and its unique flavors around the world.

Philippine Airlines flies nonstop from Manila to Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York in the U.S. mainland, as well as to Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
